Shimano rebuilt the Intenza lineup in 2023 as the Intenza A Casting Rod series to cover everything from power and versatility to glass and finesse for bass anglers who fish jigs, Texas rigs, spinnerbaits, vibrating jigs, and treble-hook moving baits. Shimano adds DIAFLASH technology to the butt section by laying opposing wraps of carbon tape diagonally to form a visible X-shaped array that resists twisting, flexing, and energy loss, helping you keep casts on target and lean harder when you pull fish out of cover. Cork grips, a custom Shimano reel seat, and Light Titanium Oxide guides round out the updated build and keep the rod balanced in hand, and one-piece construction delivers a crisp, connected feel from the handle to the tip.
