The Sage Trout Fly Reel honors the ever-lasting appeal of a vintage fly fishing reel and cleverly incorporates the sophistication of modern technology and engineering within its full-frame, narrow profile. Sage's machined and anodized aluminum Sealed Carbon System (SCS) with One Revolution drag knob is easy to adjust on the fly to decrease tension for stripping and to increase pressure when you want to put the brakes on any big fish trying to escape to stronger currents or underwater cover. The drag's discs are made with high-grade carbon – the same material used in the brakes of jets and F1 race cars – to withstand the sudden pressure of your running trout and to dissipate heat on the drag's intricate parts. The Trout Fly Reel features a large arbor with a concave design for fast line pick-up, more strength, and more line capacity and is exquisitely set within machined aluminum full-frame construction. While the techiness is at the guts of this fly reel, the classic design is its soul. Just looking at this reel makes us want to find trout waters! If you have a desire for a remarkable combination of modern technology with a vintage look, the Sage Trout Fly Reel is a worthy choice.
