The Ross Reels Evolution LTX Fly Reel earns its keep on trout rivers, bass lakes, and coastal flats by pairing the familiar Evolution feel with a major jump in strength for fighting hard-charging fish. Four times the drag strength of the Evolution LT backs anglers who lean on the reel when a brown trout runs downstream, a smallmouth digs under the boat, or a redfish heads for structure. The large-arbor spool and signature arbor shape boost rigidity and help the fly line self-level across the spool during the retrieve, keeping line stacks even and pickup fast. Machined from a proprietary 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a hard anodized finish, the Evolution LTX handles freshwater and warm-water salt use with confidence, while the canvas phenolic handle trims weight and stays secure in wet conditions. An engineered stacked-disc drag riding on an oil-impregnated bronze bushing and stainless spindle delivers smooth, consistent pressure that fly anglers trust across long days on the water.
