Scientific Anglers Dacron Fly Line Backing gives fly anglers thin, dependable insurance when steelhead, bonefish, salmon, and other hard-running fish push deep into the reel. This Dacron backing uses advanced 3M technology to achieve a smaller diameter without giving up strength, which means more backing capacity on the spool and more confidence when a fish keeps taking line. The extremely thin material and low coefficient of friction help minimize wear, while high abrasion resistance adds durability for repeated runs, fast retrieves, and heavy pressure. Colorfast, high-visibility backing also makes it easier to track line during the fight, making this a strong choice for freshwater and saltwater anglers who want extra reel capacity and steady performance when the run gets serious.
