    I've been using the 2X and 1X versions for steelhead in smaller tributaries with split-shot sinkers and bead head flies. Does the job. The smaller ends are strong and supple enough to make streamers and nymphs move in the water. My blood knots hold when I tie smaller S/A fluoro tippet onto them, too. They've been worth their weight.
