Anglers targeting everything from river smallmouth to deep-water walleye and nearshore trout value the SEVIIN GX Series Spinning Reel for its angler-centric construction, developed from decades of St. Croix expertise and built to handle aggressive fish while maintaining finesse-rig control. A carbon fiber/polymer body, side cover, and rotor keep weight low and rigidity high, while the forged, anodized aluminum spool with braid band and custom aluminum handle supply strength without adding bulk. The 10+1 stainless steel bearing system delivers fluid rotation, and the multi-stack carbon-fiber/stainless drag secures light presentations with micro-adjustable control from 9–22 pounds depending on the model. A precision-hobbed hard-brass pinion, diecast helical drive gear, and slow S-Curve oscillation with an internal support guide maintain consistent line lay for long casts, while the one-piece titanium bail supports failsafe operation during hard runs.

  • Lightweight carbon fiber/polymer frame and rotor with premium machined accents
  • 10+1 stainless steel bearings, hard brass pinion, and helical drive gear for smooth power
  • Multi-stack carbon-fiber/stainless drag and micro-adjust knob for accurate control
  • Forged aluminum spool with braid band and one-piece titanium bail for strength and balance
  • Geared Slow S-Curve oscillation system with internal support guide
  • High-strength 1-piece titanium bail wire resists bending
  • Manufacturer's one year warranty

Took a chance on this Sevin reel. Wish I hadn't. The reel binds up before your first turn, not moving. Just not worth $190. No comparison to the Shimano Stradic for $10 more! Not to mention the Daiwa Ballistic for $30 more or the Vanford. Like night and day between those reels. The Sevin is more like a $100 reel at best. The drag sounds like a motorboat or a motorcycle exhaust is you like that sound and has to be checked constantly as it seems to re-adjust. Maybe a got a lemon but don't think so. I should've stuck with the reels I know well listed above which I do highly recommend for spinning reels (Shimano Vanford, Stratic, Daiwa Balistic). If return/exchange it if I could.
