The Okuma Komodo SS Casting Reel gives hard-fishing anglers the power, control, and durability needed for musky, pike, striped bass, catfish, inshore saltwater species, and heavy freshwater applications where torque and line management matter. A stainless steel main gear, heavy-duty stainless steel drive and spool shafts, and a precision machine-cut stainless steel pinion gear give this low-profile baitcasting reel the strength to handle big baits, hard runs, and repeated pressure. The rigid diecast aluminum frame and sideplates keep the reel solid under load, while the CRC corrosion-resistant coating and A6061-T6 machined aluminum anodized spool add toughness for anglers who split time between freshwater and salt.

The multi-disc high output Carbonite drag system works with a micro-click drag star for precise adjustments when fish surge boatside or make powerful runs near cover. Precision Japanese ABEC-5 spool bearings, a 6-pin Velocity Control casting system, and synchronized levelwind help keep casts smooth and controlled, especially with braided line. Zirconium line guide inserts support braid use, dual anti-reverse and the Quick-Set anti-reverse roller bearing increase reliability, and the on/off clicker adds utility for trolling, chunking, and bait fishing. With both right- and left-hand retrieve options, the Komodo SS fits anglers throwing large swimbaits, working live bait, pulling trolling spreads, or covering heavy structure with confidence.
