Salmon anglers trolling for chinook and coho know that rotation speed often triggers strikes more than bait alone, and the Hawken Simon Cut Plug focuses on that principle with a fast, drag-free roll. This inline cut plug herring lure offers two rigging options that change action on demand: rig through the belly for a loose, traditional cut plug roll, or rig through the tail for a tighter, faster spin that excels behind inline or 360 flashers, or run bare. Research behind Hawken’s 3D-printed spin-bait designs showed that spin rate drives reaction strikes, allowing anglers to fish this lure without bait to avoid messy oils while maintaining effectiveness. When extra attraction helps seal the deal, an integrated scent chamber and light stick carrier add controlled scent dispersion and glow without altering the lure’s action.
