Love these baits! no mess unless you add Garlic Spike it in Flo yellow to it! I do this just to boost the sight and scent of it works good without it! I have caught my limit of Rainbows every outing my PB was 2 1/2 pounds have caught browns and palomino trout up to 1 1/2 pounds too!

In 2018 the scent formula was changed, it smells funny now. The old scent formula was oily and coated the eggs, if the eggs felt slightly oily you were good to go. The new formula has a noticable scent but is dry to the touch. I have cought a few trout, but nowhere near the number I have cought using the old formula. I am switching to Gulp eggs, they are a ok alternative. However the Gulp eggs disintegrate in water quicky, since Berkley has not remedied the disintegration problem I will take some eggs out of the jar a few hours early to dry them out slightly, which makes them tougher. It is hard to screw up great products like Powerbait and Gulp eggs. No matter what the ad copy says about a new scent formula, and the addition of garlic, if my trout stringer comes up light for the season- it shows!

Use a #14 gold treble a foot or so below split shot(s). Two eggs will keep the hook floating and since trout are visual feeders a must.

Since it floats, I've used it for trout fishing. I haven't caught anything with it yet, but today I only caught 2 fish. But I'm not giving up yet, I've still got all summer.
