Tie buggy movement into your nymphs and soft hackles with the Wapsi Soft Hackle Hen Saddle Patch, a feather patch that covers everything from nymph collars and legs to tails, soft hackle flies, and crawdad claws. Wrap a few turns for a breathing collar on trout and steelhead patterns, pick slim fibers for mayfly and caddis legs, or build crawdad claws for smallmouth when you want extra motion on the pause. Each patch comes in assorted shades, and the speckled brown stands out as a partridge substitute when you want that classic mottled look without hunting down game bird feathers. The approx. 5 x 4 1/2 in patch delivers plenty of quality feathers for the bench and keeps your material selection simple for day-to-day tying.
