The UTC Ultra Thread gives fly tiers a reliable, versatile tying thread for crafting everything from tiny midge patterns and nymphs to larger trout, salmon, steelhead, and saltwater flies. This lightly waxed nylon fly tying thread offers dependable strength and control for securing materials, building smooth bodies, and finishing clean, durable fly patterns. Choose UTC 70 for delicate midge and nymph patterns, UTC 140 for general-purpose trout flies, and UTC 210 for larger patterns that require additional strength, including deer hair flies and streamers. With three denier options, anglers can match their thread to specific hook sizes and tying techniques while maintaining consistent results at the vise. Each spool contains 100 yards of thread, giving fly tiers plenty of material for stocking their fly boxes with proven freshwater and saltwater patterns.
