Build big, breathing profiles on spey patterns, saltwater streamers, and oversized woolly buggers with Wapsi Strung Schlappen, the long, webby feather fly tiers reach for when they want motion without stiffness. These schlappen feathers run about 6 to 7 in long, making them a strong match for steelhead and salmon spey flies, tarpon and striper patterns, and any streamer where a softer hackle helps the fly pulse on the swing or during a steady strip. Tie it as a collar, wrap it as a hackle, or layer it to add volume while keeping the silhouette alive in current. Each pack weighs approx. 1/8 oz, giving you plenty of material for multiple big-fly sessions at the vise.
