The St. Croix Tannic Bass Fly Rod merges bass-specific performance with advanced blank technologies and purpose-driven ergonomics to handle a wide range of aggressive bass presentations. From working poppers and crayfish patterns through current seams for river smallmouth to punching through pads with oversized deer hair frogs or chasing peacocks and stripers in more exotic waters, this rod series covers it all with precision and control. Each model is tuned with bass-focused lengths and tapers, making it easier to cast big, wind-resistant flies while maintaining comfort for long sessions on the water. The SCIV, SCIII, and SCII carbon matrix—reinforced with Mito Graphene—delivers the strength and loop stability needed to drive flies deep into cover or across windy flats. St. Croix’s IPC, ART, FRS, TET, and Slim-Profile Ferrule technologies ensure crisp recovery, powerful energy transfer, and long-lasting blank durability. Outfitted with chrome snake guides, Fuji K Series titanium tangle-free stripper guides, a hook keeper, and a custom-machined aluminum reel seat, the Tannic Bass Fly Rod also features a slim-profile full wells super-grade cork grip and composite-accented fighting butt. A bass-focused tool with clean, tech-forward aesthetics, this rod arrives protected in an aluminum tube with a rod sock.
