Douglas DXF Gen 2 Fly Rod gives fly anglers a lightweight, highly accurate rod that keeps casts controlled from close-range targets to longer shots across current, flats, and open water. Its moderate fast action and multi-modulus blank construction balance sensitivity with clean recovery, while minimal tip dampening helps tighten loops and improve placement for trout, bass, steelhead, salmon, and light saltwater species. A self-aligning reel seat with dual locking rings and Nylatron inserts adds dependable reel security, and the grip style matches the application with reverse half wells on freshwater models and full wells on saltwater models. Finished with stainless frame guides in dark neo plating, a lightly sanded blank, AAA cork with rubber tips, and distinct emerald green flake freshwater or brilliant blue flake saltwater cosmetics, this rod series also comes packaged in a Cordura tube with a coordinating cloth sock for protection between trips.
