The Shimano Scimitar Salmon & Steelhead Casting Rod branch of the redesigned Scimitar Salmon/Steelhead rod tree also features longer blanks and extended rear and foregrips for the balance needed to present spoons, blades, and crankbaits effectively. In 8 1/2 and 9-foot lengths, these salmon steelhead rods gain greater casting distances and durability from the titanium oxide guides that line the blank. Shimano salmon steelhead rod SMC casting models provide full-grip cork handles with powers ranging from medium, medium-heavy, and heavy and are two-piece configurations. The Scimitar SS Casting Rod – durable, lightweight, and sensitive – strikes a balance between value and performance with a distinctly high-end look and feel.
