The Pautzke Fire Hellgrammite mimics one of a fish’s most irresistible meals, but live larvae of the Dobson fly are challenging to find, and the vicious critters are even harder to keep on a hook. This 1.75-inch soft plastic mimics the natural movement of live hellgrammites, making it highly effective for steelhead, trout, bass, and panfish. Its lifelike action excels when jigged, twitched, drop-shotted, or drifted, while the durable, non-scented material holds up to multiple catches. Whether fished under a bobber or through the ice, the Fire Hellgrammite’s finesse profile keeps fish focused and committed to striking.
