The 11-wt. Musky Fly Rod is designed to hurl 400-500-grain full-sinking lines with fewer false casts. Newcomers or those with aggressive forward styles may prefer heavier lines to help load the rod, while highly skilled and obsessed musky anglers may opt for lighter lines to achieve more loop shape and better distance.

The Musky Fly Rod comes in two lengths: 8 ft. 8 in. for fishing close to the water and performing a Figure 8 technique with the rod tip, and 9 ft. 4 in. for reaching into the water from taller boats. Speaking of that rod tip, these Echo musky fishing rods are designed to be as tough as possible to swirl heavy flies and entice boat-side hookups.
