Douglas LRS Centerpin & Float Rod models offer value workhorse choices for salmon and steelhead float rods. The Douglas rods, built with high-end components, superior strength-to-weight ratios, and stunning good looks, remain affordable for all they offer. Durable graphite and hybrid multi-modulus blanks are balanced and lightweight in hand for tactical sensitivity aided by ergonomically designed grips and CC Fuji Fazlite guides. The LRS Centerpin and Float Rods are durable, powerful, and built to supply anglers with the upper hand.

Douglas took customer feedback on the float rods to improve their performance. The Douglas LRS float rods – LRS P11632M and LRS P13644M – are the longer of the two styles for centerpin float techniques and now have longer guides to reduce ice buildup. The tip guide, albeit an odd look, does aid in the functionality of the rod. Additionally, these longer rods received a counterbalance to alleviate any tip heaviness. The pin fishing rods keep as much line off the water as possible to attain a drag-free drift.

The two float spinning rods – LRS S9632M and LRS S10632M – are short float rod models for those who like to employ a spinning reel for drifting methods. Each LRS style sports a reel seat with hidden threads for your comfort and is backed by a five-year warranty.     Wow, it arrived a day early, packaged and protected well. This rod is the prettiest thing I’ve ever owned. It’s just gorgeous. I’m totally new to this kind of fishing. But after 20 minutes of practice casting in a field, I can get a bobber out about 50 feet with little accuracy, but I’m getting better. Paired with the reel I got this is going to be a steelhead monster. Be prepared for just how long it is. I got the 4 piece( no other option I believe), but even halved it’s taller than me. It’s a lot of work I’d but I can’t wait to get it out and hooked up with a river monster! Thanks for the beautiful rod and fast shipping. I Was a little hesitant to order something so expensive from across the country. Especially since I can’t even look at one nearby name. But I’m so glad that I did from this company. Class act, with incredible equipment.

Handles up to 11 g floats well, and loads easily with 4 g float and shot pattern. Balances best with traditional size pin reels although I use matrix xl on all my pin rods and it fishes comfortably all-day

    I thoroughly enjoy fishing this rod for steelhead in upstate NY. The rod is quality built with a really sharp deep blue finish. The 11'6 paired with my Raven sst-3 makes for a deadly combo. The rod itself has more than enough power in the back in to put the wood to a fish when need be yet is soft enough to protect my light leaders for winter fishing. Overall i would recommend this rod to anyone who asked!
