The Douglas DXF Gen 2 Trout Spey Rod gives two-handed fly anglers a lightweight, sensitive rod that handles tight-line control, smooth anchor placement, and accurate casts when targeting trout, steelhead, and other migratory fish. Its moderate fast action and multi-modulus blank construction optimize rod action for clean load and recovery, while minimal tip dampening keeps the rod tracking true at short range and maintains accuracy when you need to reach farther seams and swing lanes. A self-aligning reel seat with dual locking rings and Nylatron inserts keeps your reel locked down, and the full wells grip with AAA cork and rubber tips adds comfort and durability through long sessions on the water. Finished with a lightly sanded brilliant blue flake blank and dark neo plated stainless frame guides, this 4-piece rod packs into a Cordura tube with a coordinating cloth sock for dependable protection in transit and storage.
