Cortland 444 Modern Trout Fly Line gives freshwater anglers an aggressive weight-forward taper that turns over long leaders, indicator rigs, and small streamers with authority. Built at 90 ft. total length with a 48 ft. head, this floating line features a 7 ft. front taper, 16 ft. body, and extended 25 ft. back taper that provide controlled energy transfer and smooth loop stability when casting to rising brown trout and cruising rainbows. The 42 ft. running line supports distance and line management across broad tailouts and windy riverbanks. A braided nylon multifilament core maintains dependable performance in temperatures from 30–70°F, and the durable front welded loop allows fast, secure leader changes. Finished in Moss Green for low-profile presentation, the 444 Modern Trout Fly Line balances power and finesse for all-purpose trout tactics.
