The Catfish Sumo Golly Whopper Catfish Rod gives anglers the world’s first multi-length catfishing rod, converting between 7', 7'6", and 8' to match your rigging style, fishing location, or casting distance needs. This medium-heavy fiberglass rod features moderate action for keeping fish pinned during strong runs, whether you're anchored on a riverbank, drifting from a boat, or casting from a kayak. It pairs with either a casting or spinning reel and includes stainless steel guides with ceramic inserts to handle braided line. A Hi-Vis tip improves bite detection in low-light conditions, and the full EVA foam grip offers comfort and control through long fights. A hook tender loop above the handle keeps rigs secure and ready between casts. To fish in the kayak configuration, bolt in the bumper end and you're ready to go. For boat use, remove the bumper end, attach the boat extension handle, then reattach the bumper. A bank extension handle is sold separately (FishUSA Item#: 251969)—just remove the boat extension and bumper, attach the bank extension handle, and finish by securing the bumper end.
