Trout beware   (from prior model)
Pros: Clear, thin profile, Easy To Use
Cons: they leak on occasion
Best Uses: clear water trout streams
Comments: These floats are deadly when trout fishing, being that they are clear and thin I believe the fish don't notice them. They drift nice and I buy the 2gram so it doesn't take much of a hit to pull one under, very sensitive to strikes.

Effective product   (from prior model)
Pros: Easy To Store, Good For Variety Of Fish
Best Uses: Deep Water, Stream Fishing, Fresh Water, Shore Casting
Comments: I use these floats for stream trout fishing. The streams I fish are generally clear and other floats/indicators tend to spook the fish. These clear floats do not.Their shape also offers very little resistance when the fish strike.I've had one or two out of 20 allow some water to leak into the float after use, other than that I would have given 5 stars.

If your going for clear, low, water...   (from prior model)
Pros: Easy To Store, Looks Realistic, Easy To Handle, Good For Variety Of Fish, Irresistible to Fish
Cons: Easy to Break, Poor Construction
Best Uses: float fishing, Fresh Water
Comments: These are great for the low and clear water situations while float fishing. These things float great. The only downside to these is that they break pretty easily. I personally would recommend balsa floats for all other water conditions as they are much harder to break.

Pros: Strong, Good For Variety Of Fish, Easy To Handle, Easy To Store
Best Uses: Fresh Water

TheRock
The best floats   (from prior model)
Pros: Easy To Store, Easy To Handle, Casts Well, Light weight, Great strike indicator
Cons: Breaks on impact, Loose on line breaking, Extra time to rig
Best Uses: Driftfloat fishing
Comments: Rigging requires the line through a tubing washer on the top and the line threaded through a hole in the float at the bottom. Takes a few minutes but worth the effort. I hate to loose these floats if my line breaks on a snag. Light enough to show strike if matched right to line weights. Makes a great "ploop" when a trout strikes and fish on!

Sheffield Floats are top of the line (from prior model)
Pros: High Quality, Durable, Good Value
Cons: Cracks when hit on rocks
Best Uses: Well balanced float
Comments: I use primarily #7.0, 2- 3/0 split shot below the float, then a barrel swivel. Below that is my flurocarbon leader and hook. I use 3 BB split shot on the leader. This is an incredible set up. This works in all applications of Ohio, Pennsylvania, as well as New York streams. I can't say enough about these floats. I prefer them over the Drenans.
