3/4" is just the right size, they are very visible and work great. Brass grommet lets line slip right through and does not let line cut into wood. Highly recommend.

Great float , well made.
I have used Thrill floats for many years. I use the 1/2 inch for Trout and Blue Gill and depending on the water conditions the larger ones for steelhead.
