This past summer I was fishing creeks for smallies. I was using crankbaits. They were effective, but they kept getting hung-up in brush piles and on sunken tree branches. I switched over to Strike King Bleeding Bait Mini-Kings and they were perfect. I could drop them right next to woody cover without getting hung-up too often. Dressed up with a curly tail grub, they pulled in the biggest smallies I caught. The only reason the review isn't a 5 is because you often need to bend the wire to get the blades out of the way of the skirt. Otherwise, it is a great and effective lure, particularly when fishing in cover.

I got the biggest one [@] had for about [$] in south florida. The same day i first caught a 30" alligator gar then a 12" perch then i landed the biggest bass i ever saw in real life,12 lbs! I caught 3-6 pounders all day also.my new favorite lure.but it didnt last the day.the one problem i had was when i caught the 12 pounder the spinners came off and it flattened out the lure straight! Ive never seen that happen.but the fish stayed hooked! ive also never caught a fish that big but i would think the lure shouldve handled it.bottom line its a great easy using lure that i rebought the next day and still is my favorite weapon.try it,you wont regret it. I wouldve given 5 stars if my first one didnt pull a strecharmstrong. Great lure though.
