    I've been using TFO Trout and Panfish rods for years now. They are fantastic, and I suggest them to anyone. I was curious to try something a step up for a while, but I had trouble justifying an upgrade on something that wasn't broken (the TFO rods). I finally decided to see if the grass is actually greener on the other side.I ordered the 6'UL fast, offering. The Legend Elite Panfish rod is very sensitive. I didn't realize how "heavy" the TFO rods were in comparison. I put a 500 Vanford reel on it and the balance is perfect. The line I used is Sufix nanobraid 2Lb. It casts well with micro jigs. Not better casting than the TFO, the St. Croix is slightly less whippy. You can feel everything better with the St. Croix though. Its something you need to hold and use to appreciate. Fighting fish was as fun as ever with the new rod. I took it out once so far, and had the pleasure of catching over 50 large bluegill and shell cracker. Bass and other species beyond those were a blast as well. So, I recommended this rod to anyone willing to make the jump.
