Others have complained about two problems with this tip: 1) it is extremely difficult to get the oem aluminum pointed tip off to get this one on. They are correct, but it isn't impossible. I first tried with pliers and a jar lid rubber grip thing...didn't budge. I then got a plastic bag, sprayed WD-40 in till one corner was full, put the wader staff in, the tip of course, then taped it up and let the staff sit overnight. Tip came right off. 2) complaints that the staff no longer fits in the provided Simms scabbard. Mine fit perfectly fine, but my staff is the new wading staff. This thing is now quiet on the stream bed. My only complaint is, with the price Simms charges for their wading staffs, they should provide both tips.
