8’6 medium heavy rod
I use this rod to fish king salmon and it performs extremely well it was the cork handle 8’6 and I brought in 20 pounders and up and no problem great backbone and sensitive.

Broke very easily
Bought this pole/reel for my first rod to get started salmon fishing. Hooked one fish and the pole snapped in half. Lesson learned on trying to buy in an affordable range.
