The Shimano Curado Spinning Rod might be the rod you want to work for you in upcoming fishing tourneys. Enhanced for powers and versatility that tournament anglers need, the Curado rods are now engineered with Shimano's Hi-Power X technology, a method that wraps carbon tapes in "X" shapes on the outermost layer of the blank. This diagonally wrapped carbon increases rod strength, improves casting performance, and adds twist resistance. Shimano also adds its C14+ reel seat to the Curado spinning rod collection for greater sensitivity and weight reduction.

This Shimano spinning rod also includes Fuji tangle-free K guides with FazLite inserts, which means line tangles are greatly lessened and translates to more line time in the water when the tournament clock is ticking. This guide train lends greater versatility to the Curado because now you can fish with monofilament, fluorocarbon, or braided line choices. If fishing tournaments are in your future, then premium Shimano rod technologies can help your cast, bite detection, and fighting power. Find your new tourney rod here with the versatile Shimano Curado Spinning Rod series!

• Hi-Power X
  • In Hi-Power X construction, the blank's outermost layer is diagonally wrapped with carbon tape, which forms an array of "X" shapes. The width of the tape, its winding angle, and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. The flexibility allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control by the angler.
• CI4+ Reel Seat
  • CI4 is a Shimano-original material reinforced with carbon fiber. It is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material. This highly technical material is 2.5 times more rigid than CI4 and is used in Shimano reel seats to increase sensitivity and to reduce weight. Use of CI4+ for the reel seat also delivers remarkable rigidity for perfect reel fixation which results in better rod efficiency.
• Shimano built the Curado series for tournament anglers with powers and actions to fulfill the spectrum of techniques one may face when a check is on the line
• One piece rods
• Manufacturer's one-year warranty
