Product Details

Raven Wide Gape Specimen Hooks lock fish down when drifting spawn sacs or trout worms for steelhead and trout in rivers and creeks. A compact profile with a wide gape delivers strong hooking power without overpowering natural bait presentations, and the straight, short shank keeps rigs clean under a float or on bottom. Medium-heavy wire forged from 110 carbon steel handles hard runs, while a 6-degree reversed offset and micro barb help keep pressure once a fish commits. A chemically sharpened beak point and black nickel finish round out a dependable, all-around specimen hook that anglers reach for every season.

  • Compact shape with wide gape for strong hooking power
  • Forged 110 carbon steel with medium-heavy wire strength
  • Straight eye and short shank for clean spawn sac and worm rigs
  • Chemically sharpened beak point with micro barb and 6-degree reversed offset
  • Quantity per pack: 25

I use these hooks for tying steelhead and salmon flies.I like that they are black in color, strong and very sharp. They are a great choice for the price.

Incredible hooks. Superior strength over previous brands I've used. With other brands, often you get a couple dud hooks in the pack with an eyelet not fully closed, a hook that will break on the first hookset, etc. Had no such issues with these on a week long grinder in NY. Not one hook broken, not one hook that appeared defective. These also stay very sharp, too. Typically I'll change hooks after getting snagged, catching a fish or two, etc. No need with these- can literally fish the same hook all day or longer with no failures. Will be filling my box with these for future trips.
