I bought a pair of the med/light in late 2020. I put them on some med/hvy ice rods while ice fishing for crappie and they worked well. The crappie bite was so light I would not have been able to detect it through the rod alone. It takes a very small screwdriver or knife to open the clasp on these before you can install them but they go on and stay on. I'm going to order a couple more for my other ice rods.

I put this on a St. Croix mojo and it broke the rod tip while trying to clip it in. Got the rod replaced under warranty. Then I tried to put it on a Shakespeare and ha the same thing happen. Rod broke where I was trying to press this on. Junk product which will end up costing you a lot on rods. Mine were returned.
