The Orvis Recon Saltwater Fly Rod brings impressive durability and responsive castability to anglers chasing redfish, bonefish, striped bass, snook, and other hard-pulling saltwater species. Its 9' 0", 4-piece configuration gives fly anglers a practical combination of casting reach, line control, and travel convenience for fishing flats, beaches, bays, and coastal waters. A matte blue blank with light blue accents gives the rod a clean saltwater look, while black Type III anodized aluminum reel seat hardware stands up to demanding fishing conditions. The fighting butt adds leverage when pressure shifts from casting to battling strong fish. Chrome snake guides and a chrome stripping guide with a SiC insert manage fly line through repeated casts, helping anglers stay ready for quick shots at cruising fish. A nylon-covered rod tube protects the Recon during storage and travel.
