When largemouth bass settle into deep grass lanes and smallmouth pin baitfish along chunk-rock ledges, the Megabass Magdraft Jig Head helps anglers carry a Magdraft Freestyle swimbait into the strike zone without sacrificing its signature head shake. Rather than following a conventional football-head shape, this specialized chin-weight jig head places its weight low to establish a stable center of gravity and maintain horizontal swimming balance. Its obstacle-clearing geometry lets anglers probe grass, broken rock, river ledges, and other deep structure with controlled bottom contact. Yuki Ito and Kenta Kimura developed the head to reach bass holding 15 to 30 feet deep while preserving the Magdraft Freestyle’s natural profile and action. The eye sits in the same position as the original Magdraft rigging, giving experienced Magdraft anglers a familiar line-tie location and presentation angle.
