Carlisle Foam Strike Indicators are used by fly anglers, but can also be used as floats, for float fishing, and for ice fishing as a bobber. Colors are mixed, in either white/chartreuse, white/red or red/chartreuse, with the outline best described as pear or raindrop shaped. The indicators have a small hole through the length. To use these floats, the angler would slide the indicator onto the leader or tippet, and peg it in place with the provided wood pegs.

    Carlisle foam strike indicator

Works for me because the small end does not push as much water as a round indicator of the same size when I slow strip & pause in calm, shallow water.

Slide on the line and move it easily up and down to vary the depth.

these floats are great for having a small float on a jig when shooting docks. was taught this method last year by another fisherman and it is deadly when fishing in and underneath docks.

    Worked well.

The "smalls" work well, but the "micro" size has limited applications and visibility in windy conditions.
