I troll mini and micro crankbaits for trout a lot. Saw this new item and had to try it. They have a severe case of the common micro crank problem of tangling the hooks, even with tiny #10 short shank hooks. When they did not tangle, I got dozens of strikes, but only 2 hook-ups. Another common problem with micros where the body is much larger diameter than the rear hook. I removed the front hooks completely and replaced the rears with #8 std shanks. Back to the lake 6 days later and the rainbows were attacking again. Five fish limit in 55 minutes. Still more hits than hook-ups, but much, much better. I am going to try a #6 on one of them next time out. I ordered the remaining 5 patterns that I didn't buy in the first order, plus one duplicate. I will repaint the duplicate in my favorite pattern. I would have given 5 stars if the cranks came outfitted with one proper sized hook.
