I bought these reels for fishing salmon with 45lb copper line on the Great Lakes. The hi speed pickup of these reels nearly doubles the amount of line put back on the reel per crank compared to my older reels. I went from 24"s per turn to 48.2"s per crank. This makes cranking in a 300ft copper equivalent to cranking in a 150 copper on my old reels. Drags are smooth and I like the black on black finish of these reels as well.
