I have been use these for years and they are great. So glad they came out with a stacker now. Well design and always perform perfectly.

This is a great tool to either run a single down rod, or as a stacker clip. I have used it both ways. The biggest benefit is the ability to use it for both salmon/trout and walleye with no adjustment needed. You can have very high tension loading the rod, and a small walleye will trip it as easy as a salmon.

The Chamberlain stacker release worked just as advertised. I tightened the brass knob all the way then backed it out 2 full turns for walleye. I then adjusted the aluminum screw at the top until it did not release with rod pressure. It allowed a good bow in the fishing rod but still released with a small fish. I liked how the stacker slid down the cable to the weight after it hit the pulley. This made setting the line directly off the weight easy.

Highly adjustable and high quality BBUUTT does not fit on Cannon Downriggers , cable is too big to fit the release.

i have tried every down-rigger release known to man made in the last 45 years, and this is the best. It is 2 releases in one with rod tension and fish tension release separate. Buy it and and enjoy the features. I really love the other model Chamberlain release which attaches at the ball. The guy who invented it is a mechanical genius.
