These are good for the price at which they are set. The flat metal base material is a little thinner than a high quality Traxstech or Cisco rod holder, the thumb screws are kind of cheap, and the plastic rod holder sits somewhat loose into its metal riser. I can wiggle it around quite a bit. However, at this price point, it is very functional and I plan to replace the two thumb screws with a better replacement (Traxtech star shaped thumb screws). For these two holders w/replacement thumb screws, it will cost me about $100. Two Cisco holders would have cost me about $278 when I also factored in a 5" riser. That's quite a difference and that is why I went with the Bert's Custom Tackle Pro Series Rod Cradle w/6" Riser.

    Sturdy and adjustable

Very sturdy and adjustable enough to point the rod tip at the water. I also use them for planer boards and have not had an issue.
