    I bought the 30 inch medium for using jigging raps and similar size jigs for walleye. I’ve had it for most of this ice season and so far it has performed as it should. The reel is smooth and satisfying, and the rod has the backbone and rigidity I wanted. My only complaints are: 1.) I’d prefer the smaller, higher quality guides you see on 13Fishing’s pricier models, however these are functional. 2.) A high visibility tip would be nice for detecting soft bites. Overall for a ~$50 ice combo the 30” medium action rod definitely does the job. At this price I’m considering buying another to have for friends who come with me.
