Takes a beating and comes back for more (from prior model)
Pros: smooth drag, durabile
Best Uses: casting, float fishing
Comments: Being a fishing guide in the tribs of S.E. Wisconsin, my Sedona's have been through anything and everything you can throw at them. drug through the mud, sand, water and they still work. I have had my reels for almost 9 years now and only killed one out of 9 of them (tends to happen when a big chinook spools you out then the reel goes straight into sand while wet.) I would highly recommend these reels to anyone looking at getting into fishing for trout and salmon on lake michigan

Shimano Sedona D Spinning Reels (from prior model)
Pros: good drag, very dependable
Best Uses:
Comments: I have 5 of the Sedona 4000 FD reels and 4 of the Sedona in the 2500 FD series. I use these reels on steelhead, walleye, small mouth bass, perch, and gills. I`ve owned the Sedona`s reels for many years and had no problem with any of them. They have a good drag system, and the reels itself are smooth in the mechanical end. I spool these reels with mono, fire line, and braid, and have no issues with birds nest. Great reels for the price.
