High quality for the money   (from prior model)
Pros: Soft but with plenty of power, 10ft, 8-17lb rod
Cons: A little heavy for local lakes
Best Uses: bait fishing/big river use
Comments: I did like this rod a lot but did not keep it for myself, but would recommend it for bigger river fishing! Lots of quality and very well built for the money! Maybe one of the lighter models would have suited me for local lakes?

12'6" shimano convergence spinning   (from prior model)
Pros: Im7 graphite, quality guides, lightweight, perfect for light line steelhead
Cons: Have heard of these breaking
Best Uses: I use these for surf steelhead fishing with very light line
Comments: good rod for the money. I paired these with shimano Sedona 2500's with 4 pound main and I use 2-3 pound leaders. Last steelhead I caught was 11 pounds on this set up. Gotta have good drag and leave it loose. i use Velcro cable straps to hold these together when storing them and transporting. I use 3/4 pyramids and tried 1 ounce... I wouldn't go heavier than that for fear of breaking. For 70 bucks it's a good rod...

Totally worth the money   (from prior model)
Pros: Strong casts, sensitive, and flexible
Comments: shore fishing for croakers and this one rod equipped with the Okuma Trio 40, basically shut down everything around me. Casting, I was getting out 20 to 40 yards further with a 1oz. sinker, I just kept bringing them in. I had my reservations at first, but she made a believer out of me!

Great value and warranty (from prior model)
Pros: Durable, Flexible
Cons: Heavy rod
Best Uses: Drift Fishing, River Fishing
Comments: These rods are built like a tank, and if you ever do break one, they have a great warranty. I use the 12' for steelhead fishing on Erie's tribs. Works great. Only con would be that the rod is a little heavy to be high-sticking all day.
