Wapsi Rabbit Zonker Strips

Wapsi Rabbit Zonker Cross-Cut Strips are great for tying flies such as bunny leeches and carcass patterns. These are used for a variety of freshwater and saltwater flies. These are cut so that the fur angles back when wrapped around the hook shank unlike standard zonker strips. There is approximately three feet of rabbit zonkers in each package.

Wapsi Thin Skin is a stretchable thin plastic film great for use on a wide variety of fly patterns. Thin Skin is excellent for wing cases on nymphs, backs on scuds, sow bugs, shells on crayfish, and shrimp patterns. This material can be used on flies down to and past size 18. Wapsi Thin Skin comes on a backing making it easy to cut.

UTC Vinyl Rib is translucent, D-shaped, plastic nymph ribbing material. This half-round material is soft and easy to work with. The extra small, midge size is great for midge bodies. UTC Vinyl Rib is made in the U.S.A.

Wapsi Bucktails are a staple tying material, used for the Bucktail Streamer, Clouser Minnow's, and other popular patterns. These tails are dyed very nice colors and have relatively straight fibers. These are premium bucktails in natural and dyed colors. Each package contains either 12 inch full bucktails or smaller pieces. Bucktails are made in the U.S.A.

Wapsi Craft Fur is a synthetic hair with underfur. This material is popular for tying saltwater crab and shrimp patterns for bonefish as well as baitfish patterns for, but not limited to bass and pike. This hair is soft and fine offering lots of movement in the water. Each package contains approximately 40-45 square inches of Wapsi Craft Fur.

The Wapsi Natural Fur Dispenser is a collection of 12 of the hard to find natural fur dubbings. This dispenser contains a fantastic range of 100% natural dubbings. The Mink, Beaver and Muskrat work great for dry flies while the others make excellent "buggy" looking nymphs. The snap close lid is labeled as to which dubbing is in each compartment.

Wapsi Ultra Chenille is an excellent material for use in nymphs and woven fly bodies, and especially popular for San Juan worms.

Cyclops Eyes are the standard bead used for tying bead head fly patterns. These brass beads are specially drilled for fly tying, with the hole on one end smaller so it will not slide over the hook eye. Each package contains 24 beads. Cyclops Eyes are made in the U.S.A.

Ultra Thread is a strong, flat, smooth, lightly waxed, slow building nylon thread. UTC 140 is great general purpose thread for trout and other flies and will serve the beginning fly tier well, as it is not too bulky and its strength prevents breaking the thread. The UTC 210 is excellent for deer hair, steelhead, salmon, and saltwater. The UTC Ultra Thread 140 & 210 Denier is made in the U.S.A.

Wapsi Marabou is a turkey body feather. It has a fluid, lifelike breathing action that makes it incredibly useful for fly tying. Marabou can be used for streamers, tails, bodies, throats, collars, wings, and backs. Wooly Bugger Marabou has a shorter fiber and a larger, stiffer center shaft, making it a good choice for Wooly Buggers.

UNI-Thread is comprised of strong, continuous polyester filaments. The properties of this thread allow it lay flat on the hook or can be twisted tight by spinning the tying bobbin. UNI-Thread is extremely strong for its diameter. This thread is recommended for small fly work by the FishUSA staff.

Wapsi Krystal Flash is a synthetic material that adds a little eye-catching flash to any fly. Krystal Flash is great for egg, baitfish, and streamer patterns. This material also makes nice wing cases on nymph patterns.

Wapsi Flashabou can put some exciting action in your jigs and streamers, combining the movement and lifelike breathing action of marabou feathers with a strong yet supple mylar material to add flash to your lures. Works excellent in saltwater and maintains an almost neutral buoyancy. Each package contains 10 inch strips of 2,000 strands. Flashabou is made in the U.S.A.

Estaz Chenille is a popular translucent chenille used for a variety of fly patterns, including Estaz Eggs, streamers, and wooly buggers. Estaz Chenille comes in regular and grande sizes, with select colors in opalescent. The opalescent is more translucent than the standard colors, although both are shiny. Estaz Chenille is made in the U.S.A.

Wapsi Cone Heads are the standard for tying a pattern with a cone head rather than a round bead head. These heads offer a more tapered look than a bead, while still adding weight to the fly. Cone Heads are made in the U.S.A.

Wapsi Sparkle Braid is a material consisting of several strands of mylar knitted into a cord-like ribbon. This material is the main ingredient for muddlers and many saltwater patterns in addition to several popular salmon/steelhead egg patterns.

Wapsi Rayon Chenille is a popular material on many fly patterns, including wooly buggers. Rayon Chenille is softer and more loosely woven than Ultra Chenille. Rayon Chenille comes on a card containing approximately 15 feet of material. The Rayon Chenille is made in the U.S.A.

Kevlar thread is the perfect choice for tying bass bugs, saltwater, steelhead, salmon, and streamer patterns. Many tiers also use it for "spinning" deer and elk hair for hair bugs. This thread is very strong and you can cut yourself with it if you try to break it by hand. This pre-waxed thread is about the size of 2/0 or size "A" thread and builds up fast on the hook. This thread comes on spools containing 50 yards of material. The Kevlar Thread is made in the U.S.A.

Deer belly hair is the main material used in "spinning" deer hair bass and pike flies, along with some trout flies. These select pieces are dyed over white deer belly hair, and have vibrant colors, along with long fibers.

Wapsi Scud Back is a very flexible, elastic and translucent material. This material works great for scuds, midges and shrimp.

Hareline Flat Diamond Braid is a braided body material made up of several strands of mylar loosely knitted into a flat ribbon. This material is great for bodies on many freshwater and saltwater patterns and creates a great sparkle effect for tying salmon/steelhead egg patterns.

Wapsi Antron is a stiff multi-filament yarn with bright highlights. This yarn is most commonly used for tying parachutes, overbodies, legs, bodies and tails. This material is also perfect for tying trailing shucks on mayfly and caddis patterns.

UNI-Floss is a single strand blend of nylon/rayon floss. UNI-Floss is great for wrapping the hook shank to make fly bodies. This material lays nicely on the hook shank, allowing you to make slim bodies with out having to separate the floss. It is also great for weaving flies such as polish nymphs.

Lite-Brite All Purpose Synthetic Dubbing is a coarse dubbing material great for brightening up any fly pattern. Besides being a great dubbing for buggy-looking fly bodies, Lite-Brite can also be used for streamer wings, flash backs on nymphs, emerger trailing shucks and winging material. Lite-Brite will also create great woolybugger bodies and egg patterns.
