Good camera but everything else is junk   (from prior model)
Pros: Decent camera image and resoluton
Cons: Screen is cheap, poor quality
Best Uses: Clearer water and warm temps
Comments: I bought this for the camera CCD quality and the camera itself is pretty good. The Sony delivers a decent image but it’s not anywhere near what’s in the advertising (shocking).I’m sure if the lake was clear and shallow it would be great. The bigger problem is everything else. The construction is cheap. The screen has to be viewed dead nuts on the right angle or the image is not viewable. That may be a by product to a cold weather design but it’s just frustrating to set the angle and it’s only good for one viewer. To adjust the screen, you push in these knobs on the side. It requires 2 hands, so you can’t nudge the screen up or down to get a good angle. The panner is a total miss. The motor is sealed with a gasket but the switch is not waterproof at all. Dropped it in the slush and rendered it inoperative on trip #1. That shouldn’t happen. The clip to adjust the camera height is quick but you need to remove the whole panner, then adjust and reset. I would not buy this again.
