The Light Cahill imitates the one of the Stenonema mayflies, found in the eastern United States during May and June. This species hatches from cool, clean trout streams, often heavily, producing some of the good dry fly fishing. Evening fishing can be outstanding!
These flies are tied on Mustad or Dai-Riki hooks and are hackled with Hoffman (Whitting Farms) hackle.
