G. Loomis NRX Inshore Spinning Rods are a series of fast and extra-fast, magnum power spinning rods that feature the new nano-silica resin system that allows them to use less material without losing strength. These rods are very light, incredibly sensitive, and stronger than any high performance modulus rod they have ever made. NRX In-Shore Spinning Rods are the ultimate connection for sensitivity, fish-fighting control and it takes vegetation and heavy cover out of the equation.
Another great feature on the G. Loomis Inshore Spinning Rods are the hybrid guide train. These rods are rated for braid and they use titanium-framed, SIC K-frame stripper guides that are designed to keep braided line from tangling on the frames at the stiffest point of the rod. After the first three K-frame guides, they have added nickle/titanium recoil guides to reduce weight and increase the rate of recovery for the tip creating unequaled casting distance!
All of the G. Loomis NRX Inshore Spinning Rods feature split-grip handle configurations and are backed with a limited-lifetime manufacturer's warranty.
G. Loomis NRX Inshore Spinning Rods are made in the U.S.A.
Specific Rod Details
NRX 804S XMR B - A short, medium-power spinning rod that's light as a feather, but don't let that fool you! It's designed to skip baits back under docks or in small openings in the mangroves for snook that refuse to come out and chase, which is 90% of the time. The extra-fast tip is every bit as important as the magnum-power butt. It doesn't do any good to get your bait back in all that junk if you don't have the power to get the fish out!
NRX 803S XMR B - A short, medium-heavy power magnum spinning rod designed to skip weightless plastics like the Zoom Super Flukes, or your favorite soft plastic bait on a jighead, into holes in the mangroves or under docks. The tip is soft enough to make accurate casts with a surprising amount of power to help get that snook away from the junk. Sensitivity is off the charts and it's lighter than you could ever imagine!
NRX 842S MR B - A medium-heavy power spinning rod designed to fish soft plastics for redfish, trout and snook. The tip is soft enough to help you cast into the next time zone and a surprising amount of power to help you maintain control even around the docks, the mangroves and those pesky crab pots. Want to pitch a live shrimp or crab to cruiser? Not a problem! Sensitivity is off the charts and it's lighter than the proverbial feather!
NRX 843S MR B - A serious choice for boat anglers fishing for myriad inshore species like snook, trout or redfish, especially when fishing with soft jerkbaits on leadhead jigs. They have a fast action for more casting distance and control. They track true for tough casts in wind and help you maintain a low trajectory to improve accuracy and low impact casts around spooky fish. If you're into fishing topwaters, this is an excellent choice.
NRX 882S MR B - At 7'4", the extra length provides more tip-speed so that you can make a positive, long-distance cast and hookset. A medium-power spinning rod also designed to fish weightless plastics like the Zoom Super Fluke, but with the additional four inches, you gain extended casting distance which can be especially important when you're fishing in clear water where you need to stay back off the fish. Surprisingly powerful, it's a wonderful, all-around inshore spinning rod that opens up a lot of light-duty saltwater possibilities.
NRX 883S MR B - A longer rod that gives you excellent range yet it's accurate thanks to a nice flexible tip. It's a great choice for fishing spoons and soft plastic jig combinations. From redfish to snook, stripers to bluefish, there's no fear with this rod and you'll find that it will handle surprisingly big fish. Power, accuracy, castability and performance... that's what makes this rod so good. Insanely light and sensitive, this is as good as an inshore rod can get.
NRX 921S MR B - Here's a long, light saltwater spinning rod that allows you to step down in leader-size, downsize your baits and still expect to handle those typical inshore species like bonefish, specks, small snook and puppy drum. Don't let that soft tip fool you! It's forgiving enough to allow a nice soft entry with shrimp, but still has the power to set the hook with those micro-baits like the Baby Flukes or small bucktails & plastics. At 7' 8" it's all about long-distance casts, light leaders and oversized surprises. Did we mention sensitivity?
NRX 922S MR B - The longest version of our medium-power inshore spinning rods, this one excels at casting to the far away targets that most anglers struggle to reach. You know the drill… you and your buddy are poling across the flat and fan casting to different targets, a wake or a tailing fish. That point ahead looks mighty fishy and you want to make the first cast to it - no problem with this rod. Just wind up and let 'er rip. Not only can you reach it, but right where you were thinking. It's extra length also helps wear out the fish in a hurry! Light, sensitive and powerful... a great combination!!
NRX 923S MR B - A longer spinning rod, designed to fish jerkbaits - both softbaits and hard plastics, that provides extended casting range, especially critical when fishing clear water and needing to stay back off the cover to avoid spooking fish. Will handle a number of popular bait styles, but is especially suited for fishing soft plastic jerkbaits on jigheads or hard baits like MirrOlures' MirrOdine or MirrOminnow, Bomber's Badonk-A-Donk or Yo-zuri's Crystal Minnows.
