Specific Rod DetailsBack to top

NRX 822S SYR - There's a unique action required with the ShakyHead technique. It's subtle, but it makes a difference. All of our ShakyHead rods are designed with a mid-tip flex so you can work the bait properly and still react quickly when the fish bites. This two-power ShakyHead rod is made for fishing in deeper water where you need slightly heavier line to keep fish out of the brush. It's deceptive in its power and, thanks to NRX, is so light and insanely sensitive you won't believe it. If you want the ultimate in a finesse fishing rod look no further. You’re covered.

NRX 823S SYR - Whether you're fishing tree tops in deep water or drop-offs with a lot of brush around, you want a rod with a little more backbone. This is a more powerful version of the NRX ShakyHead rods… just what you need when you go to slightly heavier line and baits for fishing deeper water. NRX makes this rod incredibly light and insanely more sensitive. It sneaky powerful and surprisingly responsive for positive hook-sets and fish-fighting control.

NRX 842S SJR - A fast-action, medium-power spinning rod, designed to fish grubs, tubes and small worms, this rod just got a whole lot better thanks to NRX! Modeled after our popular Classic Spin Jig Series, this rod has a slightly slower action than our standard jig and worm rods, making it easier to load for effortless casting and excellent lure control. The length increases casting range and provides a positive hook set at long-range and in deeper water. It's a great all around bass spinning rod! Light as the proverbial feather and so sensitive it's difficult to imagine!

NRX 822S DSR - This rod takes the drop-shot technique to an entirely new level. A soft tip that allows you to see the bite before the fish feels it is one thing, but feeling that almost inaudible tick as it happens, is almost like an unfair advantage. This model is made for deep-water and heavier cover, but it's still soft enough to be effective. When those big spots suspend in the trees on popular impoundments like Georgia's Lake Lanier, this is the rod you want in your hands. NRX makes it so sensitive that you'll know everything that happens at the end of your line and it still has enough power to pull a big away from trouble. You won't find a more sensitive rod on the planet!

ALL JWR - Sometimes it's just difficult, especially in the wind, to cast lightweight lures and smaller soft plastics. That used to be an issue, but not any more thanks to NRX Technology! First of all, you'll be amazed at how light these rods are and if you doubt the power, just rig 'em up and give 'em a try. Only then will you understand what high performance is all about. Add to that sensitivity beyond belief and you've got NRX. The extra-fast taper allows you to make low, accurate casts so you can fish right up under the brush and when a real "toad" grabs your bait you'll be in total control. If you need a rig to cast soft plastic jerkbaits and Senkos, this is series of rods for you.

NRX 852S JWR (from prior model)
Pros: You Feel everything
Cons: You hookset on rocks until you learn allover
Best Uses: Soft Plastics
Comments: After you use one of these NRX rod you will sell every other rod you have and buy another one. They are that much better than any other rod you have used. I fish the river with soft plastics and the current keeps your bait moving down river and you can't believe how much better feel you have as your bait hits rocks soft bottom and then a fish picks it up and Pow it's game on.. At first I was setting the hook on rocks as my bait hit them but now I can feel so good that I know the difference it's been fun feeling everything now. It's the biggest improvement in my fishing and It's only been 9 weeks or so. I now have 8 NRX rod's and all my other old ones are on Ebay. Go big or go home :)
