Planning a fishing trip the BWCA in late July. Bringing leeches and really need some info on the Frabill leech bag, 10x8in. I get that they keep them alive, but if you're fishing deep on sunny days, and this bag is floating off a canoe, does it get to hot for the leeches? Do you keep this Frabill bag in a larger water-filled storage container as you paddle out to fish? I'd like to hear how someone uses these bags in detail on canoe fishing trips when it's hot and sunny out in the north country. Thanks, guys!

When hung off the side of a boat, the water temperature will determine the temperature of the contents of the bag. If this is a concern, we recommend using a cooler for bait storage and/or transportation to better regulate bait-water temperatures.FishUSA StaffProfessional Angler
