Hi I was wondering if anyone on your end has ever handled this rod I'm looking for a rod to do mobile surf casting mostly sub 3/4 lures but occasionally fishbites, mud minnows, maybe even small finger mullet every once and a while.
I already have a surf rod and it's too stout to cast the lures that I want to cast, and don't want to make the mistake of oversteering in the complete opposite direction.
My plan mainly being to use Kastmasters, Roostertails and other inline spinners, 4inch curlytail grubs or gulp on 1/4 - 3/8 oz jig heads, maybe even other freshwater lures being they're cheaper more available; and to just move up and down the beach carrying this rod and a small backpack and whatnot till I find the fish.
I'm just wondering if this rod with being handle c and all doesn't go from a big overly long 2" exhaust pipe with a huge reel seat (I was planning of using a Nasci on it) down to a little wet noodle of a rod that might even break or have other problems associatMikeSC
I put this rod together from our ware house to see the flex on it. It's not as whipy as I thought it would be. The rod seams to have a nice flex to it , the main thing is to stay within the lure sizes for the best casting.FishUSA StaffProfessional Angler
