This Zonker Streamer - 2 Pack is tied a bit differently than others as the strip of fur on this pattern runs underneath the hook shank from the base of the head. Typical of Zonkers, the streamer can imitate both a leech with the long fur strip and also a baitfish with the display of mylar in a herringbone pattern and just enough full-length sparkle strands to reflect light. Zonker patterns are popular streamers to use for all kinds of trout, bass, and other gamefish in streams, rivers, and lakes because the fur strip moves fluidly and holds up under an attack! They can be used to entice larger predatory fish to strike instinctively to protect their territory or simply to agitate them into swiping at your presentation. There's always room for an effective pattern, so make space for a Zonker Streamer - 2 Pack!

  • Use for brown trout, brook trout, rainbow trout, steelhead, bass, and even pike
  • Mimics leeches, and baitfish like sculpins and fry
  • Technique: always keep the Zonker Streamer moving; cast to cut banks and when it drifts underneath, strip your line hard and fast; vary the retrieve to see what works; look for leaping baitfish and cast toward these disturbances and retrieve while waving the rod tip from left to right – the zig-zag motion replicates an injured fish that predators see as an easy target; this tactic works well below the outflow of dams or reservoirs where smaller fish can be easily swept into and swim stunned afterward, making them an easy meal for bigger fish
