The Z-Man Big Blade Chatterbait thumps harder, sends more vibrations, and displays more erratic action than the original Z-Man Chatterbait. The larger blade is not the only difference. The Big Blade is built on a hefty 6/0 Mustad UltraPoint large-barbed hook. Tournament champion and Chatterbait pro Bryan Thrift states he likes the larger barb for bait because then there is less chance the fish can spit it out after the hook is set. Two bait keepers are molded into the shank to prevent soft plastic trailers from slipping when skipping into heavy cover and under docks. Likewise, the handmade skirt, in Thrift's own custom-designed colors, withstands this same abuse.
