Twice when I was using my usual drop shot bait and I put on the slammer, I caught 3lb. plus smallies on the first cast. The first time up on the St. Lawrence and the other time on Oneida Lake. It continued to work on all species with continued use. I'm beginning to think the slammer should be my go to drop shot bait! - Mike
